SUMMARY: Berean Holiness is the only nonprofit organization focused on providing free, faith-based support and resources for those who are leaving hyper fundamentalism. We are dedicated to making these resources as accessible as possible, and it’s our financial partners who make this vision a reality. We’re in search of an Advancement Coordinator to care for those supporters and grow our donor base—providing updates, tracking donations, coordinating events, implementing fundraising strategies, and much more. If you share our passion to support believers leaving cultish groups and you have strong interpersonal and administration skills, please apply today!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement an excellent donor stewardship plan, ensuring that all financial partners know they are seen, valued, and appreciated.
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with donors, communicating success and keeping them fully informed on how their gifts are being used and impacting others.
  • Work with the executive director and board to develop a detailed plan that outlines fundraising methods (events, online campaigns, major gift solicitation, stewardship, etc.), goal amounts to be raised, and timelines that align with the Berean Holiness mission and needs; take responsibility for implementing the plan.
  • Coordinate events in conjunction with the rest of the Berean Holiness team, focusing on administration, logistics, relationships, and funding.
  • Track and report donations, impact, fundraising progress, and KPIs, and keep donors’ information up to date in our records. Analyze data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure transparency and compliance with legal/ethical fundraising standards.
  • Develop and share compelling stories of impact and spread awareness to the mission/work of Berean Holiness, using the website, email, social media, direct mail, etc.
  • Nonprofit administration, software management, assistance with finance management, record keeping, and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with donors, board members, volunteers, and staff effectively.
  • High-level communication skills, verbal and written, including excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strong organizational skills (the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, set goals, and develop systems to achieve them).
  • Strong administrative skills, including the ability to troubleshoot software issues.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends in philanthropy, compliance requirements, donor stewardship, and nonprofit operations (preferred, willingness/ability to learn quickly is acceptable).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two or more years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, event coordination, donor relations, sales, and/or related roles.
  • Fundraising experience with documented success is preferred.
  • Experience working with donor databases and/or related software (e.g. Salesforce, Little Green Light, spreadsheets, Stripe, PayPal, WordPress websites, etc.).
  • High-school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (communications, marketing, nonprofit management, public relations, sales, graphic design, writing, etc.).
  • Practicing Christian in agreement with Berean Holiness’ Statement of Faith.
  • Reliable vehicle for agreed upon travel.
